Join us as we meet with State Representatives to share with them the legislative issuesthat are Important to ourhotel and lodging community. Don't missyour chance tomeet our legislatorsand ensure preserving our industry remains a top priority in the upcoming session.
The Board ofDirectors of the AustinHotel and LodgingAssociation strongly supports the bi-annual Converge on the Capitol coordinatedby the Texas Hotel and Lodging Association.This year we are working together to increase our participation and showour Legislators that we are highly interested in how our industry is impactedby the state laws that they pass.Thissession they will be considering increasing the amount of money that is spenton tourism promotion, per diems for state agency hotel guests, and a host ofother issues that all directly impact our top and bottom lines.

As most of you know, if your building is 10 years or older on June 1, 2011, you must submit an energy rating for your building by that date tobe in compliance with the City of Austin's ECAD- Energy Conservation Auditand Disclosure Ordinance (see link below). If your building is less than 10 years old on that date, a rating must be submitted by the
10th anniversary of its construction.
Note that this ordinance applies to your buildings, including portables, that are served by Austin Energy and are located within the city limits of Austin.
