The AHLA hosted a volleyball tournament on May 1 at Aussies Sports Bar on Barton Springs Road. Spearheaded by Jody Smith, general manager at the Embassy Suites Downtown, fourteen teams comprised of employees and general managers of Austin's most prominent hotels and industry suppliers came out for a day of friendly competition. Under the catchphrase, "Keeping Austin Hospitable, each volleyball tournament is aimed to earn money for organizations that continue to make Austin great.
